Anonymous states,
It is easy for a hacker to control your Twitter account, if he cames to know your email address that you use for Twitter. The attact is possible by sending you a phishing emails.
According to WauchulaGhost, there is a risk of being attacks on @POTUS, @FLOTUS, and @VP Twitter accounts for not applying for a security feature on Twitter like giving your phone number or email address to reset the password. These three unsecured accounts allow anyone to click on ‘forgot password’. The next screen says “we found the following information associated with your account” and gives a partially redacted email address to which it will send a password recovery link, as per the reports by CNN.
There is a possibility for a hacker who has an email address of yours Twitter account, can hack by tricking you to share the passwords or even possible by apps to guess the password or sending you a phishing email.
The authorities haven’t enabled two-step verification process and are not aware of this threat. Twitter accounts will be safer only if the security settings are enabled. According to security experts, hackers are now targeting president Donald Trump Twitter accounts for the access and warns president to change the security settings ASAP.
