A 59-year-old pedophile was a member of ‘Website 19’ on the dark web was mislead away from Anonymous network by the FBI’s special video trick that made the user’s IP to be revealed without his knowledge.
The pedophile named Roy Harvender Jr. from New Castle County, Delaware is now jailed for 13 years on Wednesday for posting Child abuse videos and Images on the anonymous network.
He was a very active member of the ‘website 19’, a child pornography site on the dark side of the web which operated from 2012 to December 2014.
‘Website 19’ an online bulletin board whose primary purpose was the advertisement and distribution of child pornography. To continue as an active member, users are asked to post child pornography.
He accessed the website under the alias name ‘ricenbeans’.
According to FBI report, from June 2014 A foreign law enforcement agency – under the name FLA 1 contacted FBI pointing out the IP location of the Harvender.
After arresting a member from ‘Website 19’ using his account details they identified the server hosting location. The server was hosted in a different country but the police arrested the operator who agreed to cooperate with them.
“On September 2014 FLA 1 claimed control of the ‘website 19’ and began operating the site from a computer server in its own jurisdiction,” Agent Lipsner told a Delaware court. But FLA 1 Operated until the first week of December 2014 and later it was shut down.
Like the Playpen and other websites on the dark web after FBI acquiring and operating it to acquire the information of the members and the community which shares CP. FBI did the stuff of exposing 1,50,000 Members of Playpen by infecting them using a NIT Tracker.
How did they catch him?
On November 2014 FLA1 Posted a video on the ‘website 19’ forum. With the description of file as,”was advertised as a preview of a child pornography website with streaming video”“If the user chose to open the file, a video file containing images of child pornography began to play, and FLA 1 captured and recorded the IP address of the user accessing the file,” reads the court document.

It was configured in such a way that,” If a person clicks on the video link it would open on an external site. With a new internet connection even outside the VPN or any network software by revealing the IP Address and a session identifier to link the user account that accessed the linked.
By Clicking on the link, his IP Address got exposed leading FLA 1 to report to FBI about the leak. On further investigation, FBI with the help of the ISP of the specific IP was able to track the location and arrest him.
FBI investigators found a laptop, computer, two thumb drives, an iPod, and a cell phone. One of the thumb drives contained hundreds of videos and images of child pornography.
On October 2016, he pled guilty and charged with one count of child pornography distribution and ordered him to pay $5000 dollars as compensation to the victims if they are found and jailed for 13 years, followed by 10 years probation.
