Yet another Hack; Yet another big company; Dark Web is getting filled with hacked databases from various Chinese internet giants nowadays. An exclusive report says YouKu a popular Chinese Video Service accounts are being sold on Dark web.
The Vendor selling the database goes by the name of ‘CosmicDark’ claims to have 100,759,591 user accounts stolen from of Youku Inc.
The database was leaked in 2016 and it became live on the internet this year according to the seller’s description.
But there is no info about how the database was hacked or stolen. CosmicDark is selling the whole for $300 (BTC 0.2559).
The Emails and Passwords have been decrypted with MD5 and SHA1 hashes.
A Sample Data total of 552 accounts provided by CosmicDark mostly contained emails mainly based on @163.com, @qq.com, and @xiaonei.com.
Our Research suggests that these encrypted passwords on the Sample are already decrypted and available on the Internet.

Have I been Pwned – a platform to check if your account has been compromised or not had also confirmed the breach.
Still, we are unclear if YouKu Inc. is aware of the breach or not. We are pretty sure the users haven’t been notified about this hack and it poses a massive privacy problem.
